A computer scientist by training, Brian began his career as a software developer at Xerox and has spent over 30 years shaping innovation and enterprise strategy for companies across industries—including healthcare, finance, cloud computing, supply chain, utilities, and telecommunications. He has held senior executive roles at SAP, Dell Technologies, and most recently at UKG, where he served as EVP and Chief Belonging, Equity & Impact Officer and applied an engineering mindset to cultural and operational transformation.
Throughout his career, Brian has delivered scalable, tech-enabled impact by translating complex systems into business advantage. At Belonging Intelligence, he continues to shape the future of leadership and innovation—ensuring AI and technology work for people, not around them.

Executive Director, Strategic Operations & Engagements
Ryan Garcia is a dynamic technology executive with over 20 years of experience leading high-impact initiatives across customer success, cloud transformation, and operational strategy. He has a proven track record of delivering results for organizations ranging from nimble start-ups to global Fortune 500 enterprises.
Ryan has led diverse teams in software development, enterprise implementations, program management, and business operations. A senior leader at NetApp, Yahoo, and MedeAnalytics and most recently VP of Technology Solutions & Delivery Performance at UKG, he is recognized for driving cross-functional alignment, operational excellence, and AI-powered innovation with measurable business outcomes.
A decorated former U.S. Naval officer, Ryan brings a mission-driven leadership style centered on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. He holds a B.S. in Economics from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA in Technology Management from UC Davis.

With a background in psychology and neuroscience, Brianna brings a deep understanding of human behavior to her work, blending data-driven insights with genuine relational intelligence to elevate the client and team experience.

She has built teams, managed partnerships, and led initiatives that drive engagement, foster inclusion, and create spaces where people and purpose align.

Susan Collard

Sue Collard is the Executive Director of Strategy & Client Experience at Belonging Intelligence, where she shapes BI’s go-to-market strategy and partner growth—bringing together storytelling, market positioning, and a high-touch customer experience that helps organizations turn belonging into measurable business impact. She works closely with BI’s partners and clients to align on outcomes, activate engagements, and expand relationships over time.
With 25+ years across start-ups, Fortune 500 companies, and agencies, Sue has led global strategy, marketing, and talent initiatives with a focus on translating big ideas into clear value for the market. She previously helped advance belonging and equity strategy at UKG and held leadership roles at Dell Technologies spanning strategy, operations, marketing, and talent—experience that informs her practical, human-centered approach to growth and impact.

Derek Valentine
Executive Director, Revenue Growth
Derek has held various roles throughout his over 25 years of corporate experience including, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. He is currently the Executive Director, Revenue Growth for Belonging Intelligence, LLC. His most recent role was as a Senior Director at UKG where he led a team that aligned with UKG’s HR (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development) teams to help them identify qualified traditionally overlooked talent as well as develop a pipeline of qualified traditionally overlooked talent to source for UKG career opportunities.
Derek was also a Regional Sales Director leading Sales teams at Secureworks a Cybersecurity Division of Dell Technologies. Derek was also a Chapter Founder and Leader of the Atlanta Chapter of Dell Technologies Black Networking Alliance Employee Resource Group. Under Derek’s leadership this chapter played a pivotal role in driving Dell’s Diverse Talent Engagement efforts and programs at HBCUs/MSIs.
Derek has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University and a Master’s in Business Administration in Marketing from Clark Atlanta University. Derek is also an Adjunct Professor at Clark Atlanta University where he is helping to equip the students with both the knowledge and skills needed to successfully launch a career upon graduation and to better position themselves for retention and advancement within today’s competitive corporate and business environment.

Austin Collard

Austin Collard is the Sr. AI Analyst, Organizational Insights at Belonging Intelligence, where he helps turn complex people and culture data into clear, executive-ready stories that drive action. He brings an investigative lens as a CompTIA CySA+ certified security analyst, with experience in SIEM monitoring, alert triage, and endpoint validation. This work sharpened his ability to connect patterns across systems and communicate risk with clarity.
Austin also applies a continuous-improvement mindset as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, skilled in process mapping, root-cause analysis, and KPI dashboard development. In his current work, he connects survey, assessment, and BI signals to identify organizational hotspots and opportunities, while supporting the development of AI-assisted analytics workflows that make insight delivery faster, more consistent, and more scalable.
